  1. Nice article! I like the clean look and the thorough information! I might want to see the price without having to click the link, however. Out of the top picks you listed here, do you have one you would personally recommend over the others?

    1. I appreciate the compliment Stephen. It is good to know you found the article helpful. That is a good point about the price. I appreciate your opinion on that.

Out of all the ones I listed, the Teton Sports Scout 4000 is my favorite. Since I am a university student, I am, well, broke, so I need an inexpensive backpack. You get that in the Teton Sports Scout 4000 and a lot of space to go along with it at a reasonable price. When I have more money in the bank though, I do plan to get a more expensive one, the Arc’teryx Bora AR 63 Backpack. It is an incredible pack to say the least.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you make it a great day!

  2. Hi Alex,

I checked out some of the prices and I am happy to see that they really are very affordable. Actually, they are really affordable. I am tempted to buy one even though I am not camping anytime soon. However, its been on my bucket list for too long now, and so if I buy one, then I will have an excuse to rope in others 🙂 .

Thanks Alex, now I am stuck trying to decide which one to go for.

    1. You are right Philip. The prices for these backpacks are quite affordable. I am glad to hear you are considering to buy one of these backpacks. It goes a long way to support the site. You are kind to do that.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you make it a great day!

  3. The North Face Terra 65 looks great. I like the OPTIFIT suspension system and I wonder are the materials soft enough? Also, I just compared the prices and how do you evaluate The North Face Terra about that?

    1. I am glad to hear you are looking at the North Face Terra 65 Furkan. If you look at the pack’s padding, you will see it form an upside down Y shape. The padding is dense and thick to provide solid comfort. The backpack offers particular airflow pathways and thick padding.

When it comes to the pricing of the North Face Terra 65 on pricing, North Face gives a more reasonable price for the backpack. The pack has high stars for its price, so you get a more than fair bargain. I hope this helps you.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you make it a great day!

  4. Hello! I really like your article. I have had an interest in getting into camping. I just have to find time. You provide very good and useful information on all the backpacks. One thing I would have liked to see is the price. Instead of clicking to see the price. That would help very much. In this day and age, almost everybody wants all the information right in front of them. You have great pics and your content is great. On a scale of 5, I would give you a 4.9. Once again the pricing thing. Keep up the good work. I will come back to your site, when considering camping equipment. Have a good day!

    1. I appreciate the compliment on my article. It is good to hear. I always strive for perfection in each of my articles.

You are right about the price. It is an important point. I often do not include price in my articles because the price can change on the merchant site. If the price does not match what the reader sees on this blog from what they see on the merchant site, particularly if the merchant price is higher, then I could get in trouble.

It is good to hear you plan to come back to the site soon.

Thank you so much and I hope you make it a great day!

  5. Alex, my camping and back packing days are over, but I sure wish some of these backpacks were available years ago. You have done a super job of describing a number of backpacks – giving the reader ample information to make an educated decision on which piece of equipment is best for their use. And without leaving home! What a time saver. An excellent article with good solid information.

    1. I am sorry to hear that Barbara. I still believe anyone can enjoy the outdoors, regardless of their limitations. It just takes some extra planning. You are right about this article being a time saver.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you make it a great day!

  6. Hi Alex. Great comparisons! I bought a good quality backpack 18 years ago and it has traveled with me every year to more than 25 countries now. It will not die. It is still in really good condition even though I have not been good at looking after it.

I will come back and support a ‘financially challenged student’ when I need to get a new one. I like the look of the Osprey Packs Atmos AG 65. Nice design and this is a great price. I bought a smaller one for my partner’s father about 6 years ago, but he never gets to use it, and my partner takes it whenever we go away.

Thanks for sharing and best of luck.

    1. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the article. I am glad to hear you shared the story of your own backpack. That is just marvelous to hear.

I appreciate the support Andrew. I am trying my best with this site and I am looking forward to the future. It is always nice when readers express their support. It gives me the strength to keep going :).

The Osprey Packs Atmos AG 65 is a splendid backpack. It is good to hear your partner’s father has a smaller and uses it on a regular basis.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you make it a great day!
